Your new garment is a delicate thing, but it is made to last a lifetime if you take proper care of it!

WASHING

Hand wash only. In a tub add some wool detergent to luke-warm water. Give your knit a gentle squeeze and soak for 30 minutes. Make sure that you do not wash or rinse the garment under running water. Once done, roll in a clean towel to remove excess water, repeat this step if necessary.

DRYING

Flat dry your garment after washing, by laying it on a flat surface with a towel underneath. Heavier knits may need to be slightly pulled back into shape.

STORAGE

Never hang up your garment as it will stretch and lose its shape. We recommend folding it and storing it in the provided bag. To avoid incidents with moths, you can place cedar balls, lavender sachets or liners in the draw/shelf with your garment.

CARE

Pills occur from wearing (not a result of washing)! This is normal and is most often seen in areas exposed to friction. You can easily remove pills with a sweater comb for the thinner and fine gauge woollens or with a sweater stone for the thick and heavier garments.
